What is Gasification ?

Biomass gasification essentially is conversion of solid fuels (i.e. wood/ wood-waste, agricultural residues etc.) into a combustible gas mixture normally called Producer Gas (also known as Low Btu Gas). This gas can be used to replace expensive and scarce fossil fuels for various thermal applications in equipments like dryers, hot air generators, ovens, furnaces, boilers etc. The same gas can also be used to produce electricity using engines, turbines etc.

Ankur Biomass Gasifiers - The wide range

The company offers a very wide-range of gasifier systems in terms of the feedstocks used, the applications, as also the level of gas cleanliness.

The basic designs are:

The AG Series :
Designed to be coupled with irrigation pump sets (5 HP, 10 HP), small gen-sets (upto 20 kWe) and for small scale thermal applications including institutional cooking (upto 50,000 Kcal/hr). These systems operate on woody biomass and require manual ash removal every eight hours.

The WBG Series.
Gasifiers in this series use woody biomass as the basic feedstock and can be used for a host of applications. The gasifiers have a significant degree of process automation and cover a wide range of output ratings.

The FBG Series
Gasifiers in this series use rice husk, threshed mustard stalk and other similar fines as the feedstock. These gasifiers are based on unique and proprietary state-of-art control strategies and once again cover a very wide range of output ratings.
